Director
Hello! My name is Lisa Erxleben and I am the Director of Lambertville Academy.
I attended Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania where I received a B.A. in Communications and completed the programs for Early Childhood and Elementary Education in 2003. I have worked in a variety of school settings before coming to Lambertville Academy including public, private and Montessori schools. I have been with Lambertville Academy since 2007. Since then, I have been Senior Teaching Staff for the Pre-K class as well as the School Age After-Care Program. Before becoming Director in 2015, I also worked as an Administrative Support Staff since 2010. I look forward to finishing my Master’s in Educational Administration.
In addition to having the privilege of working with young children, I enjoy spending time with my nieces, reading and traveling to warm places! I love coming to work every day and being able to watch your children grow!

I plan to continue earning certifications in Early Childhood Development and using my work experience of 10 years in childcare, to provide my best care and learning experience for your children.
I’ve worked as a Lead Teacher with infants and young toddlers for the past five years, and as a director designee for one year.
My passion for childcare started while I was in high school working with the local YMCA aftercare programs. I graduated from Hunterdon Central High School and then from Harris School of Business focusing on education fields allied in business and health.
In my free time I enjoy spending quality time with my family and my 7 year old son. I look forward to growing with the Lambertville Academy staff!

I am a graduate of The College of New Jersey where I majored in Elementary Education and Women’s and Gender Studies.
Before coming to The Academy, I taught a variety of different ages at The Goddard School of Ewing and worked at Big Bear Natural Foods in Lambertville.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, riding bikes, crafting and watching shows and movies on Netflix. I am the proud owner of a vintage Airstream trailer, which I am currently in the process of gutting and remodeling. In the future, I plan to travel the country with my husband and our cat!

I have been working with young children for 7 years. I have worked with children from infancy to age 5. I enjoy all ages and love watching the children enjoy learning new things every day.
I have been a lifelong resident of Hopewell Township. I had such a great experience growing up along the Delaware River with my 8 older siblings! My husband, Jerry, and I have 2 children and now 2 beautiful grandchildren. It is such a joy being a mother and now a grandmother!
I love to read, spend time with my grandchildren, travel and take walks and golfing. I enjoy coming in to work each day to see the children’s smiles and to receive their hugs. What a way to start the day!
